Do you love cookbooks?

Us, too. That’s why we are making CookShelf, the app that helps you make the most of your cookbooks.

  • Scan the barcodes on your cookbooks — or search in our catalog — to add your books to your CookShelf.

  • Got too much zucchini in the summer, and an excess of cabbage in winter? Or are you just trying to find that one Bolognese recipe you love and make every year, but can never remember which book it’s in?

Search all your cookbook recipes at one time. When you find the recipe you want, you can see the ingredients list and the page number in your book.

  • Keep track of the recipes you want to try, bookmark your favorites, and mark what you’ve cooked. You can also add photos and notes for next time, and to help your fellow cookbook lovers!

 FAQs

  • We’re hoping to get the app in app stores in the first half of 2025! Can’t wait to see you there.

In the meantime, sign up for our email list to stay in the know, or create an account on eatyourbooks.com to start rediscovering your cookbooks today.

  • CookShelf and Eat Your Books are part of the same company, and if you sign up for a membership with either one, you get access to both. CookShelf is the name of the upcoming iOS and Android app, while Eat Your Books is the name of the website, which you can sign up for now.

  • No, you don’t! That’s because CookShelf doesn’t display copyrighted information, like the actual recipe method. We believe in using our books in the kitchen — cookbooks are meant to get splattered with olive in a way phones really aren’t! — and so in the CookShelf app, you can find the page number of the recipe alongside its ingredients list.

  • At CookShelf and Eat Your Books, we’re passionate about cooking, cookbooks, and recipe creators. We believe real recipes by real people are special, so we build tools to help home cooks make the most of their cookbooks, and discover the best content from their favorite creator wherever it lives.
