We focus on clean, user-focused design — no ads, no SEO fluff, just pure cooking content, beautifully presented — while championing real recipe creators, high-quality editorial cooking content, and most importantly, physical cookbooks.

If we do our jobs well, we can make cookbooks even more accessible for home cooks, and bring the joy of cooking from real books to more people. We rely on data, experimentation, and direct feedback to guide us, because cooking should be joyful for everyone. Whether you’re looking to use up the last bit of fresh marjoram before it goes bad, browse all your lasagna recipes in one place, or figure out how to use an excess of zucchini, we’ve got you.

CookShelf also owns and runs Eat Your Books, an amazing resource for cookbook lovers since 2009, founded by Jane Kelly and Fiona Nugent.
